PIE DAY

For a lot of families, Thanksgiving doesn't feel finished until the pie comes out. This year, Semmax is bringing it to you. Drive up to either of our offices the week of Thanksgiving, tell us your flavor, and we'll hand a pie through your car window. No need to get out, and no need to bake.

While you're with us, you can also help a child in foster care. We'll accept donations for The Children's Home Society of North Carolina at both pickups, and Semmax will match your donation up to $25 per family. It's part of our Hope for the Holidays program, which collects gifts for foster children through December 1.

Pick your pie

• Apple: The classic. Everybody has an opinion about it.
• Cherry: Tart, sweet, and usually the first one gone.
• Pecan: A Southern Thanksgiving standard.
• Pumpkin: For the people who wait all year for it.
